Why does installation take so long?
The installer is downloading the AI models that transcribe your meetings directly on your Mac. Every download is verified before it's installed.
Most meeting notetakers stream your audio to their servers to transcribe it. Goodmeet doesn't. The models run on your device, which is why they need to be there. The download happens once, and afterwards:
Your audio never leaves your Mac, and it isn't stored anywhere once it's been transcribed.
Recording and transcription work with no internet connection.
