Install Goodmeet on your Mac
Goodmeet is a meeting notetaker that runs on your Mac and keeps your meetings there. Installation happens through the Goodmeet Installer, which sets up everything in one pass.
Before you install
Check that your Mac meets the requirements:
- macOS 13 or later
- Apple silicon (M1 chip or newer)
- 16 GB of RAM
Goodmeet runs its AI models directly on your device, which is what these requirements are for.
Install Goodmeet
- Download the Goodmeet Installer from the Goodmeet website and open it.
- Click Get started. The installer downloads the app and the on-device AI models, verifies them, and installs Goodmeet into your Applications folder. Everything it downloads stays on your machine.
- When you see "You're ready to go", click Launch the app.
- Setup then asks for access to your microphone and system audio. Goodmeet needs both: one captures your side of the call, the other captures everyone else. Without them, recording can't start.
- You can also allow Screen Capture so Goodmeet can spot active calls and remind you to take notes. This is optional. It reads meeting window names only, never screenshots.
Note: The installer needs no administrator password. Most of the install time goes into downloading the AI models; see "Why does installation take so long?" for what you get in return.
