What is Confidential Compute?
Confidential Compute is where Goodmeet writes your summaries. Your transcript goes in, the summary comes out, and nobody can see inside while it happens. Not our engineers, not our support team, not the people running the hardware.
Why not do it on your Mac?
Summarising a whole meeting well takes a bigger model than a laptop can run without slowing down and heating up. Running it in Confidential Compute means better summaries without your Mac doing the heavy work, and without giving up privacy to get there.
What gets sent
Your transcript, and any notes you typed during the meeting. Your audio is never sent anywhere. It isn't stored at all, not even on your Mac.
What happens to it afterwards
Nothing is kept. Your transcript is discarded once the summary is written. It isn't logged, nobody reviews it, and your conversations are never used to train AI models.
What if I'm offline?
Recording and transcription keep working with no connection at all, because those run on your Mac. Summarising needs a connection, so if you're offline you can generate the summary later once you're back online. Nothing is lost in the meantime.
How this fits with encrypted sync
They're separate. Encrypted sync protects the copy of your meetings that reaches our servers so it can appear on your other devices, and only your linked devices can read it. Confidential Compute is about the moment a summary is written. Both come down to the same promise: nobody, not even us, can access your information.
