Where is my data stored?
On your device, by default. Recording, transcription, and summarisation all happen locally on your Mac. Audio is never stored at all: once transcribed, only the transcript, your notes, and the summary are kept.
If you turn on encrypted sync, your meetings are encrypted on your device before they upload. The synced copy can only be read by your linked devices. Not even we can read it.
Your calendar stays on your device too. Goodmeet talks to your calendar provider directly, and event details never pass through our servers.
With sync off, nothing leaves your Mac. Your device holds the only copy, so consider keeping a backup.
